01 / Project overview
Mendhak’s dashboard is a long-running Raspberry Pi e-paper project with detailed configuration notes. It combines a clock, weather and calendar information and supports several providers. The repository explains display revisions, language and layout choices, and a privacy mode, making it useful when the screen sits in a shared space.

02 / Materials & software
- Raspberry Pi Zero WH
- compatible Waveshare 7.5-inch HAT
- microSD
- chosen weather and calendar providers
03 / Compatibility & setup notes
Provider authentication and available endpoints can change independently of the display code. Match the panel version first, then troubleshoot each data source separately.
04 / Build the project
- Set up the Pi and select the correct Waveshare version in configuration.
- Connect one weather provider and one calendar provider, keeping their credentials local.
- Run the display manually before enabling the documented automation and optional layout changes.
05 / Check the result
Check timezone handling, empty calendars and privacy-mode output. Verify that a normal restart restores the display job without needing a manual command.
PineMux build note: Keep a record of the board revision, firmware version and first successful test. Follow the upstream guide for exact pins and commands.
